This is My Puppet

“A body not big enough to hold or the love I carry

Spirals of growth and regression

Colourful rainbows to celebrate my community

Oranges for good luck

Body hair that scares away men (thank goodness)

And an moustache to really scare them

Top surgery scars which may or may not be in my future

Friends and love that I hope will be

Intimacy locked away with a key that may never open

A question mark to celebrate ambiguity

This is my puppet”

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
