The Magical Pot of Self Acceptance

Writer: Rae Sabine Rae Sabine

“Recently I made a mistake and let down a loved one. My mind and heart went to some dark, unhelpful places, and I began to question my capacity to look after others. So, I made this magical pot of self-acceptance to help me remember that, while I care deeply about supporting others well, I am human and I make mistakes. I filled the pot with glitter and sequins to increase the ‘self-acceptance magic’! It’s definitely helping me find a more self-loving and growthful space, and to keep showing up for loved ones even though I’m doubting myself. I photographed the pot next to a sunflower in my garden, as sunflowers remind me that it’s always possible to find joy and warmth.”
