Soothing String

Writer's picture: Rae Sabine Rae Sabine

“For a while now I’ve been noticing that I find it soothing to do this process. A big squiggle to get out energy, and then some beads. The round shapes soften me, and the details help me to focus and settle my mind. I took this photo through the pink glasses I wear for light/sensory sensitivity, so you can see how I see. It’s fun that the colours ended up matching the pansexual flag :)”

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
