Mashu, may you rest in peace. You came into my life when I was 21 years old, while you were just a few weeks into this world. You made it to 17 years of age. You were not just a pet, but my dearest bested friend. The memories we created together will always hold a special place in my heart.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
