Relationally Queer

Writer's picture: Rae Sabine Rae Sabine

Shōga was very interested in this one! Relationally Queer provides a comprehensive examination of various intimate relationship styles and their connection to self for practitioners working with gender, sexuality, and relationship diversity.

This book offers an inclusive, queer-friendly framework for understanding relationships, addressing a range of pertinent topics including intersectionality, consensual non-monogamy, managing shame, intimate partner violence, religious identities, and living with HIV.

By moving beyond Eurocentric perspectives, it features a chapter on African-centered therapy and highlights the experiences of often marginalised populations, such as bisexual individuals, sex workers, people with chronic health conditions, and transgender people.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
