PERSONAL PRONOUNS

Personal pronouns are words used to replace the specific names of people. While many people have personal pronouns some are referred to solely by name.

Some people stick to one set of pronouns, such as Rae who uses they/them. Others might use more than one, like Jocelyn who uses she/her and they/them.

It’s really important to respect everyone’s pronouns. When we learn someone’s new pronouns, it is vital to practice using them.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
