Neurodiversity Celebration Week

Writer's picture: Rae Sabine Rae Sabine

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is an international movement that seeks to combat stereotypes and misunderstandings related to neurological diversity. Its goal is to change the way neurodivergent people are viewed and supported by offering educational institutions, universities, and businesses the chance to acknowledge the numerous skills and benefits of neurodivergence. This week we also strives to foster more inclusive and fair environments that embrace diversity and enable each person to thrive.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
