The theme for the National Reconciliation Week in 2024, Now More Than Ever, serves as a poignant reminder that the ongoing struggle for justice and the protection of the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals is an imperative that cannot be ignored.

“Let us start a new chapter in the future of Australia, where we walk as equals. Where reconciliation is not just a word and a day in the calendar, but where we reconcile the trauma and atrocities of the past and celebrate our shared future and knowledge.” - William Tilmouth

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
