Lesbian Visibility Week is here — and visibility is power.

This week shines a light on lesbians in all their diversity: cis, trans, non-binary, femme, butch, Black, brown, disabled — every identity that refuses to be erased.

Visibility isn’t just celebration — it’s resistance.

It’s pushing back against a culture that still sidelines lesbian voices, underrepresents their stories, and polices their existence.

Lesbians are not asking for permission. They are claiming space, raising their voices, and demanding a world where all of us are seen, safe, and supported.

Solidarity. Action. Pride. Always.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
