Being an activist can be rewarding at times but also challenging and stressful. Activists who work towards change are presented with challenges and threats that can affect their wellbeing and mental health. Many face pressures and risks such as; burnout, trauma, grief, harassment and/or even violence. That’s why it is important to take steps to avoid activism burnout, not just for yourself, but also for the cause and your community.
