ENDOMETRIOSIS AWARENESS MONTH

On average, receiving an Endometriosis diagnosis takes around 6 and a half years from when someone starts experiencing symptoms. This is because getting a diagnosis can only be achieved through surgical intervention. For many people symptoms start when they are a teenager. These symptoms can be debilitating and nobody should have to endure being in pain for so many years. There needs be greater awareness raised as well as more investment into research and treatments.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
