DBT-Informed Art Therapy

Writer's picture: Rae Sabine Rae Sabine

This book covers mindfulness, metaphorical thinking, mastery and metallisation to better understand and regulate emotions.

Although this book could have been written using more inclusive language it does explain how to integrate DBT into a current art therapy practice.

It provides creative art activities that bring the power of art, metaphor, paradox and each client's unique creative sensibility into the therapeutic process.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
