Boundaries

Writer's picture: Rae Sabine Rae Sabine

"Boundaries I think will always be one of my biggest struggles, too few and i'd find myself spiraling out of control, taking on roles and responsibilities that I neither wanted or was equipped to handle.

And when i would inevitably slam on the breaks and put up the walls, the idea of letting anything or anyone in was overwhelming.

Our discussions on finding the "balance" of healthy boundaries remind me a lot of Ying-Yang iconography and how both sides must coexist in order to achieve a healthy balance."

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
