Writer: Rae Sabine Rae Sabine

It’s Bisexual Health Awareness Month!

Launched in March 2014 by the Bisexual Resource Center, Bisexual Health Awareness Month (#BiHealthMonth) is a social media campaign aimed at highlighting the social, economic, and health disparities faced by the bisexual+ community.

It advocates for essential resources and promotes actions to enhance the wellbeing of bi+ people, raising awareness of their physical and mental health challenges while encouraging effective interventions at various levels.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
