Anger

Writer's picture: Rae Sabine Rae Sabine

"Creating a visual representation of my anger really helped me understand that often when I start to feel negative emotions my instinct to minimise them, or "compact them down". Doing so only ends up concentrating negative emotions instead of allowing myself to naturally process, understand and let go of that feeling. Being aware that the "go to" defence mechanism I have developed over my life is now doing more harm than good is my first step in trying to find a better way to process my feelings."

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
